US-European group’s Project Concho will use direct air to suck initial 50,000 tonnes/yr of CO2 for permanent storage
A US-European consortium announced what is claimed as the first ever wind powered direct air capture (DAC) carbon removal development that will leverage US climate law-linked tax credits and a flexible power purchase agreement (PPA) to maximise revenues.
US start up Verified Carbon and Return Carbon of the Netherlands will team up with Dutch DAC technology provider Skytree on ” Project Concho ” to remove 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere.
