Canadian pension fund\u00a0Caisse de d\u00e9p\u00f4t et placement du Qu\u00e9bec (CDPQ) and Invenergy management will remain majority owners of the company and Invenergy will continue to run the day-to-day business operations of the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to continue to accelerate the clean energy transition with Blackstone\u2019s additional investment and capabilities,\u201d said Jim Murphy,president and corporate business leader at Invenergy. \u201cThe Invenergy team is pleased to welcome Blackstone, a leader in the renewable investment space, as our partner.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"advertCentre\">\n<div id=\"c501Ad\" class=\"commercialSlot\" data-location-code=\"C\" data-sizes=\"300x250\" data-google-query-id=\"CO25-Nesp_UCFcoM4AodF4UGew\">\n<div id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5748\/wpw.main\/page\/news\/article_5__container__\"><iframe id=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5748\/wpw.main\/page\/news\/article_5\" tabindex=\"0\" title=\"3rd party ad content\" role=\"region\" name=\"google_ads_iframe_\/5748\/wpw.main\/page\/news\/article_5\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" aria-label=\"Advertisement\" data-google-container-id=\"6\" data-load-complete=\"true\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Since 2019, Blackstone, which manages assets such as private equity, has committed nearly $13 billion in investments that it \u201cbelieves are consistent with the broader energy transition\u201d, it stated.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Klimczak, global head of infrastructure at Blackstone, added: \u201cBlackstone is committed to investing behind the energy transition and we are excited to partner with Invenergy, which is the clear independent leader in the renewable energy sector.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Invenergy has more than 175 renewable energy projects totalling nearly 25GW across four continents.
