{"id":367,"date":"2017-07-03T10:26:50","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T07:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/?p=367"},"modified":"2017-07-03T10:26:50","modified_gmt":"2017-07-03T07:26:50","slug":"vestas-set-for-1gw-russia-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/2017\/07\/03\/vestas-set-for-1gw-russia-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Vestas set For 1GW Russia Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section admin_label=&#8221;section&#8221;][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>RUSSIA: Vestas has been named the chosen supplier for the 1GW capacity won by developer Fortum in the recent Russian tender.<\/p>\n<p>The Danish manufacturer said as a result of the agreement, it was planning to set up a manufacturing site in the country to comply with Russia&#8217;s strick local content laws.<\/p>\n<p>Finnish company Fortum&#8217;s joint venture with local energy group Rusnano was the biggest winners in the auction, securing contracts for 1GW of wind power.<\/p>\n<p>The Fortum-Rusnano JV will deliver 26 projects between 2018 and 2022, securing\u00a0 \u20ac115-\u20ac135\/MWh in capacity payments.<\/p>\n<p>Vestas said it would disclose further agreements when they are made.<\/p>\n<h4>Siemens-Gamesa<\/h4>\n<p>The Vestas announcement comes after rival Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) was reported to supply equipment for Enel&#8217;s wind power plants in Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Carlo Palasciano Villamagna, general director of Enel Russia, said the Spain-headquartered manufacturer would supply the projects during the annual general meeting of the company&#8217;s shareholders.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement was achieved as a result of long talks between the sides, while the details are currently undisclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Enel Russia won the rights to build two wind power plants in Russia with the total capacity 291MW as part of a tender.<\/p>\n<p>Total investment in the projects is estimated at \u20ac405 million.<\/p>\n<h4>Lagerwey<\/h4>\n<p>Meanwhile, Dutch firm Lagerwey signed a licensing agreement with the tender&#8217;s other winner, Rosatom-subsidiary Otek.<\/p>\n<p>Lagerwey will help set up manufacturing facilities and train Otek employees in producing its turbines for the Russian and neighbouring markets, the Dutch turbine maker said.<\/p>\n<p>It will also aid the creation of a local supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>Otek owns developer VetroSGC, which was awarded 360MW of capacity in the Russian tender earlier in June.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1437217\/vestas-set-1gw-russia-deal\">http:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1437217\/vestas-set-1gw-russia-deal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section admin_label=&#8221;section&#8221;][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;] RUSSIA: Vestas has been named the chosen supplier for the 1GW capacity won by developer Fortum in the recent Russian tender.
