{"id":684,"date":"2019-04-08T15:15:01","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T12:15:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/?p=684"},"modified":"2019-04-08T15:15:01","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T12:15:01","slug":"greece-pitches-wind-against-solar-in-600mw-tender-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/2019\/04\/08\/greece-pitches-wind-against-solar-in-600mw-tender-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Greece pitches Wind Against Solar in 600MW Tender"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section admin_label=&#8221;section&#8221;][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>A ceiling price of \u20ac64.72\/MWh has been set in Greece&#8217;s first head-to-head renewable technology tender to procure 600MW of new capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Energy regulator RAE will hold Greece&#8217;s first combined wind and solar PV tender on 15 April.<\/p>\n<p>The call comes after nine wind projects, with a combined capacity of 159.65MW, were awarded 20-year\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1521430\/prices-fall-157-latest-greek-tender\">contracts in December 2018<\/a>\u00a0at a weighted average of \u20ac58.58\/MWh, 15.7% below the \u20ac69.53\/MWh price\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1487060\/greece-announces-first-wind-auction-results\">from July\u2019s tender<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The December auction for large-scale PV projects was cancelled, but the average weighted price in a July\u00a0 2018PV tender awarded capacity to 59.92MW across eight projects at \u20ac63.81\/MWh.<\/p>\n<p>Sites entering the tender must have a capacity of at least 50MW, represented either by a single wind farm or a number of projects using the same substation.<\/p>\n<p>Single or aggregated PV projects must be at least 20MW. Developers wishing to participate in the April tender must submit an online application by 21 March.<\/p>\n<p>The tender&#8217;s terms are not entirely adversarial.
