{"id":712,"date":"2019-06-03T16:21:05","date_gmt":"2019-06-03T13:21:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/?p=712"},"modified":"2019-06-03T16:21:05","modified_gmt":"2019-06-03T13:21:05","slug":"vestas-secured-the-largest-share-of-worldwide-turbine-orders-for-the-fourth-consecutive-three-month-period-in-a-record-breaking-first-quarter-according-to-new-figures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ege-windturbines.com\/en\/2019\/06\/03\/vestas-secured-the-largest-share-of-worldwide-turbine-orders-for-the-fourth-consecutive-three-month-period-in-a-record-breaking-first-quarter-according-to-new-figures\/","title":{"rendered":"Vestas secured the Largest Share of Worldwide Turbine Orders for the Fourth Consecutive Three-Month Period in a Record-breaking First Quarter, according to New Figures."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section admin_label=&#8221;section&#8221;][et_pb_row admin_label=&#8221;row&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;justified&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The manufacturer\u2019s V150-4.X and V120-2.2 turbines both ranked in the top five onshore models ordered in Q1 2019, and it won more than 500MW of orders in North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Its success came as worldwide first-quarter orders eclipsed the record set a year ago by 875MW (up 7% year on year), according to analysis by Wood Mackenzie Power and Renewables (WMPR).<\/p>\n<p>Strong order intake in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/china\">China<\/a>\u00a0and the Americas more than offset a nearly 20% year-on-year decrease in the combined Europe, Middle East, Africa,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/russia\">Russia<\/a>\u00a0and Caspian region, the analysts stated.<\/p>\n<h4>Chinese offshore<\/h4>\n<p>China\u2019s offshore sector ramped up in Q1 2019 as provinces tried to meet grid-connection targets for projects in Chinese waters, WMPR added.<\/p>\n<p>In total, orders were signed for 1.7GW in the first quarter (up 66% year on year), with five Chinese OEMs securing at least 300MW of firm orders for domestic offshore wind farms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1585791\/record-global-order-intake-q1-2019\">https:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/article\/1585791\/record-global-order-intake-q1-2019<\/a>Chinese manufacturers accounted for 77% of all offshore capacity ordered globally in the first quarter, the analysts added.<\/p>\n<p>By contrast, the European offshore wind sector declined 55% year on year, with just a single 487MW order signed off for a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.windpowermonthly.com\/belgium\">Belgian<\/a>\u00a0project, the analysts noted.
